About the Role:
Communications Install Solutions Inc is looking for a driven and skilled Field Technician to join our team in Hermiston, OR. Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot communications systems and equipment in the field
- Perform site surveys and assess technical requirements prior to installation
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling, including coaxial, ethernet, and fiber optic lines
- Configure and test communications hardware and network equipment
- Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Document work completed, materials used, and any site-specific findings
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to ensure on-time project completion
Requirements:
- Prior experience in communications, low-voltage, or telecommunications installation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and field testing equipment
- Knowledge of cabling standards, signal testing, and industry best practices
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying outdoor conditions
