Overview

The Compressor Technician II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing compression equipment, including compressors, vapor recovery units (VRUs), flares, and combustors. This role supports daily operations by coordinating maintenance activities, monitoring equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring repairs are completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Maintains and optimizes compressors, VRUs, flares, and combustors.
  • Supports Compressor Foreman with daily operations and projects.
  • Coordinates contractor activities and repair schedules.
  • Monitors equipment performance and reports operational issues.
  • Reviews preventive maintenance quality and reduces downtime.
  • Tracks equipment inventory and verifies delivered materials.
  • Reviews and approves maintenance invoices.
  • Works with engineers to standardize compression facilities.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Uses SCADA and operational technology tools.
  • Communicates effectively with operations, vendors, and contractors.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of compressor/VRU experience required.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
