Key Responsibilities
Â
Cloud Security SupportÂ
- Assist in implementing secure network, system, and software configurations across Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.Â
- Support the development and enforcement of cloud hardening policies, standards, and procedures based on frameworks such as CMMC, NIST SP 800 series, and ISO 27001.Â
- Collaborate on projects involving zero-trust security models, including identity-based access controls and data protection solutions.Â
- Support the implementation and maintenance of identity and access solutions in environments such as Microsoft Entra ID and Google Cloud Identity.Â
- Help troubleshoot IAM-related issues and ensure proper access configurations.Â
- Assist with configuring Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewalls, and Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to secure cloud resources.Â
- Learn and support the deployment of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) for advanced threat protection. Â
  •  Help enforce endpoint compliance using tools like Microsoft Intune.Â
  •  Assist with deploying endpoint protection solutions such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.Â
Â
Data Protection & ComplianceÂ
- Work with senior engineers to implement and monitor data protection solutions like Azure Information Protection (AIP).Â
- Assist with ensuring compliance with standards like ITAR, DFARS, and GDPR by maintaining accurate data classification and retention practices.Â
- Help monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions like Microsoft Sentinel or Splunk.Â
- Contribute to threat modeling exercises and risk assessments for cloud services.Â
Project Support & LearningÂ
- Support cloud migration projects, including tasks such as preparing data for migration, assisting with implementation, and documenting configurations.Â
- Shadow and assist in training sessions on AvePoint tools, Microsoft Power BI dashboards, and SharePoint solutions.Â
- Assist with creating and deploying Power BI dashboards to deliver actionable insights.Â
- U.S. citizenship is required by federal regulation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work/military experience.Â
- Up to 3 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or cloud computing.Â
- Basic knowledge of cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.Â
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and DFARS.Â
- Understanding of basic networking principles and security concepts.Â
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.Â
 Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), or AWS Cloud Practitioner.Â
- Experience with tools like Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, or SentinelOne.Â
- Exposure to AvePoint Fly Migration Tool and SharePoint management is a plus.Â

- Salary range: $110,000-$125,000, commensurate with experience.Â
