Role Description
We are looking for a SAR Solutions Engineer, with an active TS/SCI clearance, to join our Technical Sales Team. In this role you will enable ICEYE to win strategic opportunities by defining and leading tailored technical solutions, with a focus on complex government tenders.
As a SAR Solutions Engineer you will provide critical technical insight, analysis and guidance in collaboration with sales account managers, proposal managers, marketing and the broader ICEYE engineering, operations and product teams.
Responsibilities:
● Provide tailored technical and product support to Sales, Marketing and Government Affairs teams
● Support on-site customer visits to locations requiring SCIF access in support of our strategic government customers
● Collaborate with ICEYE technical teams to understand, synergize, and explain our current and future capabilities and processes
● Develop technical solutions using a broad range of tools and processes to include ArcPro, Socet GXP, Python, and other SAR related tools
● Understand the science behind ICEYE's proprietary SAR satellites (basic instrument performance) + data products (data specifications + calibration techniques)
● Clarify the complexity of SAR technology, products and services in meaningful terms to customers
● Partner with ICEYE sales to define products and solutions that meet our customers’ needs, ensure bilateral understanding of key requirements
● Develop new business proposals for data, capability, and system deliveries and the coordination of this activity with the respective stakeholders
● Structure proposal responses from multiple inputs - including sales strategy and RFP requirements
Requirements
● Must be US citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance
● 3+ years experience in a sale-engineering role or operated in a similar capacity
● 3+ years technical writing experience to include industry-standard technical proposal writing processes (i.e. Shipley)
● Solid SAR data product and RADAR technology knowledge
● Ability to synthesize technical requirements from sales & Customers into a coherent technical solution
● High attention to technical details with the ability to write directly and succinctly
● SAR data products and RADAR technology knowledge
● Strong client-facing interpersonal skills, including a good temperament
● Advanced verbal and written communications skills (technical fluency in English required).
● Project management expertise across multiple, ongoing tasks requiring cross-functional, multi-time zone coordination
● Intrinsic self-motivation in highly disparate environments juggling multiple assignments.
Preferred Skills and Experience
● General experience with digital signal processing and engineering physics
● Engineering or science degree ideally paired with a research background
● Experience or familiarity with GEOINT concepts

This position primarily works in an office environment. It requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and frequent walking.
