RCS is seeking an IT - Assessment and Authorization Specialist or ISSO / Systems Administrator to support a Cyber Security team to provide technical services to other organizations in the areas of:

  • Desktop hardware to include workstations, printers, multi-function devices, monitors, desktop peripherals, large displays, webcams, and a variety of other hardware devices.
  • Voice to include networks, VoIP, analog, and digital implementations.
  • Audio and video to include desktop VTC, integrated audio and video conference room setups (cameras, speakers, A/V switches, control panels, etc.), and multi-VTC integrated room setups.
  • The Specialist will be required to provide Certification and Accreditation support to advise and assist the stakeholders with the Lifecycle Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and develop a Systems Security Plan (SSP).

This position requires the candidate to meet specific Security Clearance obligations to work onsite in Chantilly, VA.

What you will do:

Concentrate on overall technical and operational effectiveness of capabilities in coordination with the GTM and Staff management. Responsible for assisting and maintaining a formal Information Security Program that includes recommendations on continuous improvement of the processes and architectures supporting the overall operational activities.

Run and execute the A&A process, greenlight records

Run security scans

Mitigate findings

Security updates

Patching / updates – Windows, Linux

Configuration systems admin, configuration/deployment of laptops

Shepherding systems through security process


Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
    • U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS).
  • Bachelors degree in management information systems, information assurance, computer engineering, or other closely related IT and cybersecurity discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Risk Management Framework (RMF) methodology.
  • Managing document repositories and databases.
  • Process tracking and document control software.
  • Writing, communications, and briefing skills.
  • Technical guidance and oversight both to technical and non-technical, senior level personnel.
  • Organizing, planning and prioritizing multiple tasks to complete work on schedule.
  • INFOSEC policies, regulations, and guidance.
  • Understanding of cyber risks such as malware, zero-day attacks, denial of service attacks, as well as associated mitigations regarding computer and network devices.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with customers at all levels.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the A&A process.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the standard project cycle.
  • Understanding of the diverse information technology infrastructure, including operating systems, major application systems, and network architecture.
