What you will do:

QXO’s Corporate Communications team is looking to hire a Senior Associate or Manager, Internal Communications.

 

The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with exceptional written and verbal communications skills, strong program management capabilities, and an engaging and collaborative mindset. The role requires the candidate to partner with all areas of the company – field and corporate – to share company news with QXO’s 28,000-employee workforce. The candidate will be required to coordinate complex communication initiatives, align cross-functional teams, develop high-quality deliverables across multiple internal communications channels, and oversee the implementation of communications campaigns. The successful candidate will bring creativity, structure, and precision to internal communication efforts, helping to promote QXO’s values and engage diverse audiences.

 

What You’ll Do In Your Role

  • Design, coordinate, and manage internal communication plans and programs that engage employees and drive awareness of company initiatives across U.S. and Canadian branch locations.
  • Create and manage editorial content calendars for internal communication channels, including the company’s digital screens, daily e-newsletter, intranet, and internal social media.
  • Develop corporate and employee news stories, presentations, and video scripts for internal audiences.
  • Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of internal communications campaigns using engagement metrics and feedback to continuously improve content and channel performance.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, and executing various internal events, ensuring seamless logistics and effective communication from planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Report to and assist the Director of Internal Communications with day-to-day department activities, tactical execution, and administration.

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field requiring strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Five to eight years of relevant work experience, preferably in a corporate communications or communications project management role at a large company.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including editing and proofing for clarity and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously – from conception to implementation - ensuring timely execution.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments while managing competing priorities and adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Aptitude for developing content and managing the look-and-feel of digital communications.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across the organization.
  • Experience producing video, audio and other multimedia content (preferred).
  • Good eye for graphic design to support appealing and effective communication.
  • Excels at working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. 
  • Detail-oriented, with a drive to produce high-quality content, provide outstanding service to field and functional teams, and continually improve results and processes. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Project management experience managing detailed campaign schedules and workflows.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require (likely 10-20%)

 

What Will Put You Ahead

 

  • Experience supporting communications during periods of organizational growth, transformation, or mergers and acquisitions.
  • Experience using internal communications platforms such as SharePoint, Workvivo, Screencloud or similar employee engagement tools.
  • Familiarity with AP Style and industry best practices.
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or French
  • Experience producing video, audio, and other multimedia content.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and SharePoint.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar work management platform (Monday.com) for project management.
