As a Development Manager within AWS Infrastructure, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute strategies to expand our Data Center portfolio and related infrastructure. The position requires a high degree of technical competence and professionalism. This position is responsible for building strong partnerships with regional teams, internal cross platform functions and business stakeholders to achieve regional strategic goals. This position will be required to step into several development projects at varying stages.


Key job responsibilities
- Lead implementation of standards, processes, documentation and reporting
- Manage multiple development projects at various stages simultaneously
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with regional teams and cross-functional stakeholders
- Deliver analytical insights and metrics-driven improvements
- Drive infrastructure development initiatives aligned with AWS's growth objectives
- Ensure compliance with AWS's rigorous safety and security standards
- Contribute to capacity planning and cost optimization strategies
- Drive business goals while being agile to manage change
- Partner with multiple Amazon business partners and stakeholders
- Support cross-functional project portfolios

Impact: You will play a crucial role in expanding AWS's global infrastructure footprint, directly contributing to our ability to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective cloud services to customers worldwide.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. Basic Qualifications: - 5+ years of project management (including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management) experience
- 5+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Bachelor's degree in enginnering or equivalent, or 5+ years of construction or project management experience Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Design/Construction using Autodesk Revit to design and coordinate large, complex, or innovative projects
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience directly related to the design or construction of large data center facilities, either colocation or client owned/operated
- Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
