This work supports a mission-critical federal platform used by applicants, grantors, federal agencies, and partner systems across the grants lifecycle. Candidates should be comfortable working in a structured federal IT environment with strong emphasis on service continuity, stakeholder responsiveness, documentation, quality, security, accessibility, and disciplined delivery.
Ideal candidates will bring experience supporting federal IT programs, public-facing web applications, grants management systems, cloud-hosted environments, Agile/SDLC delivery, system operations, application support, testing, cybersecurity, communications, or related technical and program functions. Prior experience with Grants.gov, federal grants systems, HHS, government shared services, or high-volume public-sector platforms is strongly preferred. Preferred Grants.gov / Federal Grants Experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and support Storyblok capabilities used within the Grants.gov public-facing application.

- Integrate Storyblok with application services, APIs, and other Grants.gov system components.

- Work within established source control, branching, merging, build, and deployment processes.
- Analyze and resolve application defects, Storyblok configuration issues, integration problems, and production support incidents.
- Implement approved application changes and enhancements in coordination with senior developers, product owners, QA, and other technical team members.
- Support development, testing, code review, smoke testing, release planning, deployment, and post-release validation activities.
- Support Storyblok and application configuration across development, test, staging, and production environments.
- Develop responsive and accessible functionality in accordance with Section 508 and applicable accessibility requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation related to application components, Storyblok configurations, integrations, deployment processes, and operational procedures.
- Participate in ongoing operations and maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, defect resolution, performance improvements, and application modernization.
- Coordinate with developers, designers, content owners, QA personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure application changes meet functional and technical requirements.
- Support knowledge transfer and documentation of Storyblok architecture, integrations, development processes, environments, and operational procedures.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience developing or supporting Storyblok or another headless CMS such as Contentful, Contentstack, Sanity, Strapi, or similar.
- JavaScript and Node.js development experience, including experience with Express or similar frameworks.
- Experience with modern front-end development and component-based web application architecture.
- Experience integrating applications with REST APIs, GraphQL, SDKs, or other API-based services.
- Experience with Git, source control, branching strategies, CI/CD, build processes, and application deployments.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting production web applications in an operations and maintenance environment.
- Experience with content modeling, reusable CMS components, structured content, or CMS configuration.
- Experience migrating or modernizing websites using headless or API-driven content management platforms.Â
- Grants.gov, GrantSolutions, or other federal grants management platform experience.
- Experience supporting public-facing federal government websites or shared-service platforms with large user communities.
