Position Summary...
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale secure enterprise authentication solutions. This role is part of the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) team within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) organization and focuses on Phishing-Resistant MFA (PR-MFA) and certificate-based authentication (CBA). You will develop highly scalable services and automation that support registration, lifecycle management, enforcement, and rollout across the enterprise, partnering closely with security, platform, and associate experience teams.What you'll do...
- Design, build, and maintain scalable services supporting MFA, PR-MFA, and CBA
- Implement secure registration, recovery, lifecycle, and enforcement workflows
- Contribute to enterprise-scale rollout strategies for phishing-resistant MFA and certificate-based authentication
- Integrate MFA capabilities into identity providers, SSO platforms, VPN solutions, and endpoint systems
- Apply FIDO2/passkey and CBA (PKI, certificates) concepts in production systems
- Build automation to support hardware authenticator enrollment, recovery, and lifecycle operations
- Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor adoption, rollout health, reliability, and security posture
- Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices through code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Strong software engineering experience building scalable, resilient enterprise-grade services and APIs
- Demonstrated experience delivering distributed systems at scale in production environments
- Experience designing APIs, automation workflows, and backend services with observability and reliability in mind
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and actively share knowledge through design reviews, documentation, and technical sessions
- Strong collaboration skills and a growth mindset toward modern authentication technologies
- Experience building highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Experience with cloud-native architectures and CI/CD automation
- Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex identity ecosystems
- Exposure to compliance and security frameworks impacting authentication systems

The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
