The Role:聽
As a聽Radiology Technician聽at OrthoVirginia,聽you鈥檒l聽perform diagnostic imaging procedures with precision and care, always prioritizing patient safety and comfort. You will聽demonstrate聽proficiency聽in operating radiological equipment while聽leveraging聽your strong knowledge of human anatomy and pathology to produce聽accurate, high-quality digital images of bones and tissues. Attention to detail is key as you will be reviewing images for technical accuracy and anatomical orientation.聽

Primary Functions & Accountabilities:聽
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.聽
- Follow established protocols for patient care, safety, and radiological procedures.聽
- Minimize radiation exposure by adhering to industry standards and best practices.聽
- Obtain high-quality radiographs within an efficient timeframe while maintaining patient confidentiality.聽
- Process and accurately digitize radiographic images, ensuring correct patient data is linked.聽
- Prepare examination rooms for radiographic procedures, ensuring a clean, sterile, and organized environment.聽
- Review radiographic exams for technical accuracy and ensure correct anatomical orientation of images.聽
- Regularly check radiographic equipment for聽optimal聽functioning and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.聽
- Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety practices and聽operate聽radiographic equipment safely and efficiently.聽
- Assist聽with聽additional聽duties as needed,聽maintaining聽flexibility and a proactive attitude.
Qualifications:聽
- At least 2 years of Radiology Technologist experience preferred聽
- Current Virginia Radiologic Technologist License聽required聽
- ARRT Certification聽required聽
- Ability to operate C-arm equipment safely and effectively.
