The Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting daily financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable billing, cash receipts, account reconciliations, assisting with month end close, and assisting with annual financial audits. The work will require strong technical accounting/bookkeeping skills, thorough attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and sound communication skills as the successful candidate will interact with many internal and external stakeholders of Vista.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collect invoices and process vendor payments via check, ACH, etc
  • Manage vendor account portals
  • Generate customer charges, create and distribute billing invoices.
  • Record cash receipts and monitor bank transaction activity.
  • Complete journal entries.
  • Assist with month end close process.
  • Support annual financial audit completion.
  • Administer purchasing card and credit account expense allocation.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders (internal and external) to facilitate gathering necessary data, meet deadline, etc


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not require supervisory responsibility.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires that an individual be able to learn new tasks quickly and effectively. The ability to understand and carry out detailed, involved instructions is mandatory.

EXPECTED SCHEDULE

This is a full time role 40 hours per week, M-F, normal business hours.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Associates degree or higher in accounting required, Bachelors preferred 
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office products and Internet applications required. 
  • Successful completion of all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to PPD testing, physical, and drug screening required. 
  • Successful completion of Vista's crisis intervention training required

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Familiar with financial accounting software systems
  • Prior experience with accounts processing (payable and/or receivables)
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organized
