McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Maintenance Training Supervisor position, to work a 8-hour day shift at the Burley, Idaho plant. Reporting to Reliability & Talent Development Manager, this position is responsible for the oversite of all aspects of maintenance related employee training including, qualification processes, training development, budgeting, planning, coordination and record keeping. The Maintenance Training Supervisor serves as a coach and mentor to both Maintenance and production employees. Will have a dotted line to the factory Training and Development Manager.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Manages the skills assessment, development, and deploys targeted training materials and modules to the team based on individual skills assessments and/or changes in plant technology.
  • Initiates autonomous maintenance principles through maintenance and leads these principles into operations.
  • Maintains effective relationships with peers, direct staff, and hourly personnel
  • Take timely and effective actions to control unfavorable expenditure trends..
  • Identify and exploit opportunities to improve MTTR and MTBF, monitors downtime, department KPI’s, and trends through training and skills development programs.
  • Communicate to inform, engage and inspire. Emphasizes communications as a tool to build collaboration and ensure organizational alignment
  • Develop in-house factory specific training programs to meet Factory Training Plan requirements
  • Track and maintain Factory Training Plan updates pertinent to maintenance objectives.
  • Source external / internal training resources to meet Factory Training Plan requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Incumbent must have a general working knowledge of all factory operations including raw product systems, processing, packaging, palletizing, freezing, steam generation, instrumentation, etc.
  • In depth knowledge of basic mechanics, power tools, reading blue prints associated with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drawings. Ability to provide training in all of the areas mentioned above to build these skills in others.
  • Administrative and computer skills are necessary for the success of this role.
  • Five to ten years’ experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a food-processing environment is essential.
  • An Associates, Bachelor’s Degree, and/or proven experience in a related field is preferred

 

Skills:

  • Develop in-house factory specific training programs to meet Factory Training Plan requirements
  • Development of Maintenance training budget and training plan.
  • Deliver and/or Supervise Training as necessary to skilled technicians. Coach and develop Lead Trainers and others responsible for the delivery of training within the operation.
  • Source external / internal training resources to meet Factory Training Plan requirements

Compensation Package: $65,500.00 - $87,400.00 . USD annually + Bonus eligibility
