About the Role:
The Accounting Manager will oversee and manage the full spectrum of accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity of financial data through meticulous bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and balance sheet oversight. They will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize accounting systems and implement best practices that enhance efficiency and accuracy. Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with job costing and cost accounting in a manufacturing or construction environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a track record of managing high-performing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Oversee job costing and cost accounting processes to monitor project profitability and control expenses.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems to streamline workflows and improve data integrity.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
