Position Overview: The New Student Coordinator will work as a member of the admissions team to assist prospective students and will serve as a liaison between admissions and support departments and conduct timely follow-up to ensure the student’s admissions file is complete and ready for matriculation. It also requires a degree of independent judgment and discretion in processing, performs tasks in support of admissions activities that include processing applications, providing good customer service via email and phone calls, handling faxes, filing, operating office equipment, and utilizing Internet applications and student databases.

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Communication Management: Respond promptly to daily communications via email and voicemail, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  2. Policy Adherence and Ethical Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to the University's mission, policies, procedures, ethical standards, compliance with data protection regulations and pertinent legal regulations in all aspects of admission activities.
  3. University Engagement: Participate in Commencement Exercises, new student orientation, university events, committees, self-studies, and University Commencement Ceremonies.
  4. Special Projects: Execute special projects assigned by the President or supervisor.
  5. Compliance Adherence: Ensure compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, as well as FNU Policies, Procedures, Rules and Regulation, the FNU Code of Ethics, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Florida Information Protection Act of 2014 (FIPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and all other applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  6. Assigned Duties: Undertake other assigned duties as required.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately processes applications and documents by entering documents and information into the student database
  2. Manages the receipt of new documents and updates checklist items for all applicants
  3. Following up with applicants as necessary to move them forward in the admissions process
  4. Maintains data integrity in the Admissions database.
  1. Maintain a thorough knowledge of the University’s policies and procedures pertinent to the admissions process including program requirements, tuition and fees, class schedules, etc. and apply them consistently to student’s enrollment.
  2. Organize, maintain, and update all student admissions information in the database.
  3. Complete and process all enrollment documents and ensure the student’s file meets audit requirement standards.
  4. Communicate with students on a regular basis and follow-up class participation to promote retention and educational continuity.
  5. Participate in recruiting activities such as University fairs, career days, education fairs, festivals, and any other activities to promote, develop and maximize enrollment opportunities. This activity may fall on any day including weekends and after regular work hours.


Requirements:

1. HS, Associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree

2. English/Spanish required

3. Customer Service and teamwork skills



Schedule:

  • Monday - Thursday: 2 days from 8:00am to 5:00pm and 2 days from 12:00pm to 9:00pm 
  • *Fridays alternate (campus closes at 7pm) (8:00am to 5:00pm or 10:00am to 7:00pm)
