Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Orderly to join our Surgery Department team. As an Orderly, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our surgical facilities. Responsibilities: - Assist with the preparation of operating rooms before and after surgical procedures.
- Transport patients to and from surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Set up and maintain sterile surgical equipment and supplies.
- Stock and replenish surgical supplies and instruments.
- Clean and sanitize surgical areas and equipment according to infection control standards.
- Assist surgical team members as needed during procedures.
- Dispose of biohazardous waste and hazardous materials properly.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care and safety.
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients and heavy equipment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Preferred Qualifications: - Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and surgical procedures.
