DESCRIPTION: Â
Â| The Respiratory Care Manager is responsible for providing care which includes assessment, treatment, management, diagnostic evaluation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Â Â consults with physicians. Â Â Provides consultation, instruction, and/or technical direction of medical, nursing, and other staff members. Â Â The manager is responsible for the daily operation and long range planning of the department. Â The duties include but are not limited to management of human resources, quality assurance in the provision of patient care, and fiscal management of the department. |
QUALIFICATIONS: Â
EDUCATION: HS Diploma or GED - Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred Â
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess a Georgia license as a Respiratory Care Professional. Must maintain a current CPR card or obtain with 60 days of hire. ACLS, PALS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire, NRP is strongly recommended Â
EXPERIENCE: Desirable characteristics include at least two years’ experience in a hospital or medical related environment Â
Management experience preferred Â
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Â
Must be able to lead by example, counsel employees when necessary and administer disciplinary actions when appropriate. Â
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress Â
