Collects and analyzes sputum, blood and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Performs all respiratory therapy procedures and cardiac diagnostic procedures throughout the hospital. QualificationsEducation 2 year/Associate Degree Licensed by the State of Kansas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner BLS ACLS NRP Experience None required Skills Organizational Verbal Interpersonal Customer Relations Mathematical Analytical Grammar/Spelling Read/Comprehend written instructions Follow verbal instructions Computer: General working knowledge and Meditech will have to learn the Holter and PFT systems.
