Description

On-Air Talent

Hibbing, Minnesota

If you’re someone who genuinely enjoys radio, likes talking to people, and has a personality that comes through when you speak, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for an On-Air Talent to join our Hibbing team and work across all of our Hibbing stations. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be involved in more than just being behind the microphone. You’ll be on the air, but you’ll also get to work on the production side of things and learn your way around Wide Orbit.

This is an in-office position. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of the team in Hibbing, so there’s no remote voice tracking from your kitchen table.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Hosting on-air shifts and bringing your own personality to the station
  • Creating entertaining and engaging content for our listeners
  • Working across our Hibbing stations
  • Producing commercials, promos, and other audio
  • Working with Wide Orbit and other station systems
  • Helping with station projects and day-to-day operations
  • Being part of the local community and representing our stations when needed

What we’re looking for:

  • You should be comfortable talking on the air, able to think on your feet, and willing to learn the parts of radio you may not know yet. Experience in radio or production is great, but personality, creativity, reliability, and a willingness to learn go a long way.
  • Knowledge/use of Wide Orbit and other broadcasting equipment
  • A valid Minnesota driver’s license and a good driving record are required for this position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in broadcasting, journalism, or communications is preferred.
