Manufacturing Quality Technician

 

Overview

At US Conec, we are committed to precision, performance, and continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Technician plays a critical role in maintaining our Documentation and Calibration Programs while supporting quality investigations, internal audits, inspection activities, and cross-functional warehouse operations.

This position is ideal for a technically minded, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working hands-on with precision measurement equipment and collaborating across departments to ensure product quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer US Conec’s Calibration Program.
  • Schedule and coordinate external calibration services.
  • Perform internal calibrations to traceable standards.
  • Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation.
  • Partner with appropriate stakeholders to evaluate out-of-calibration equipment and assess potential product impact.
  • Facilitate document updates, approvals, and revisions.
  • Maintain controlled document library and traceability.
  • Assist Quality Engineering and Management with quality investigations.
  • Support completion of First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate precision measurement equipment, including CMM when required.
  • Support Incoming Inspection activities as needed.
  • Develop and complete customer-required Certificates of Conformance.
  • Provide technical support to the Shipping team.
  • Lead and/or support internal quality audits in partnership with the Quality Manager.
  • Assist with receiving, inventory put-away, picking, and shipping activities as business demand requires.

Must-Haves

  • Associate degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience in quality assurance, inspection, calibration, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience operating precision measurement equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in fiber optics, connectors, or cable assemblies.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience operating or programming a CMM.
  • Knowledge of ISO or other quality management systems.
