Job DetailsJob Location: Century Casegoods Plant 1 - Hickory, NC 28601Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DaySummary Job Description This position is required to set up, operate and feed Tenon Machine and machine furniture parts. Essential Duties Must be able to identify wood species such as maple, ash, mahogany and walnut Required to setup, feed and operate the Tenon machine Trims, notches, rabs, groves or otherwise cuts furniture parts on the Tenon machine Makes basic visual inspection of parts and discards those with obvious defects Checks first piece run and spot checks whenever operating machine to validate specifications Counts parts and records quantities on work sheet Sets up and makes adjustments required during run Pushes finished product to next operation Required to use a tape measure to verify measurements on the wood Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties assigned QualificationsPosition Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Experience running a Tenon machine in the manufacture of wood products Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
