Summary of Performance Expectations:
Prepares food in accordance with daily menu and schedule in sufficient quantities, and in accordance with recipes, sanitation procedures and portion control.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions and recipes. Basic mathematics skills.
Preferred:
Technical or vocational training in culinary arts. Certified cook or apprentice. Formal training in institutional cooking methods and sanitation procedures.
Work Experience:
Required:
Six months of training in cooking. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
