Job DetailsJob Location: Century Casegoods Plant 1 - Hickory, NC 28601Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPosition Summary: Position is responsible for assembling Fancy Face veneer panels while ensuring quality and production expectations are met. Position Details: Assembles Fancy Face veneer panels using route cards to locate stock and match veneers according to sketches Decides most efficient way to accomplish the look designers have requested Sets up and operates shear clip, hand tops joints, miters with hand knife, inspects and repairs faces before press Ensures top quality veneer is used; identifies veneer that does not meet quality expectations Observes plant safety rules Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor QualificationsPosition Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred Must be able to read a route sheet Previous veneer experience a plus Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours Must be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds with assistance Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance Must be able to handle large veneer tops
