Job DetailsJob Location: Hickory Chair - Hickory, NC 28602Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPosition Overview   Coordinate, design, and produce catalogs, retail advertising, point-of-purchase (POP) and other printed materials. Reporting to the Marketing Director, assisting the VP Marketing and in collaboration with merchandising and product development departments, gather information about the products and design the product literature to meet deadlines set. Assist in the preparation for two major furniture markets each year and support all other marketing events. Participate in High Point Market and HCC University activities and functions.    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES   Graphics Work with the Marketing Director to get photography, using the price list and other tools to gather information about the product, as well as working with the merchandising and product development teams.   Populate the catalog templates, make copy changes, set all type, create clipping masks to silhouette photography, and source stock photography. Prepare pages for printing and turn over files to Marketing Director to review before printing Make necessary changes and ensure the deadlines are met. Assist in the coordination and the distribution of catalogs to the sales force. Create and provide digital versions of the catalogs to be posted to B2B and B2C websites. Provide color corrected images to eCommerce for posting to the web sites. Create and post on brand messaging to social media once approved.   Furniture Market Under direction of the Marketing Director collaborate with merchandising, showroom designers and other staff to provide visual graphics in the showroom and other needs as determined by the team. Create market invitations; design and/or update new POP items as needed, when available; develop, design and produce sales rep and dealer handouts and forms. Participate in the marketing walkthrough and presentation to the sales force to learn about the products and collections.   HCC University Assist with the planning and execution of HCC University events. Produce training manuals, gift bags, make and frame diplomas and parting gifts.   Social Media Create relevant content for company platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. Post approved content on schedule Review comments and requests notifying appropriate departments Work with internal staff to develop advertisements for use in magazines, social and the web.   Sales Aids System Responsible for adding and updating Sales Aids Accounts Printing With training, be able to operate internal digital printer along with other tasks that is print related   Qualifications JOB REQUIREMENTS  Bachelor’s degree in Graphics, Marketing or Communications 3-5 years; experience in graphic design, print production Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Creative Suite Applications Ability to work with supervision Self-motivated, organized, deadline-oriented individual Physical Requirements: The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
