Education and Credentials:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or related field. Registered Dietitian, licensed in NC. BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within one month of employment date.
Preferred:
Master of Science in Dietetics (for those who became eligible to take the registration exam on or after 01/01/24). Preferred for those eligible for registration prior to 01/01/24.[MO1.1] Certified Pump Trainer and/or specialty credentials in diabetes or nutrition

Provides nutrition and diabetes education to patients and community members, in both one-on-one sessions and group classes. Assesses nutritional needs, develops and implements nutritional care plans, and evaluates and reports these results appropriately.
erience or at least 2 years of experience and a specialty certification, such as CDCES, certified pump trainer, etc.. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
