Job DetailsJob Location: Hickory Chair - Hickory, NC 28602Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayPosition Summary: This position is responsible for inspecting and identifying defects on various pieces of furniture, sanding and polishing, packing, and assembling various case good products for high quality furniture. In addition, this position is responsible for the application of hardware or fixtures to furniture products. Position Details: Inspects and identifies defects in case good products prior to packing and shipping. Sands and polishes various parts of furniture such as drawers to specification. Attaches hardware to various pieces of furniture Assembles case goods, tables and cases, including doors, drawers, bases, metal components and other decorative components May use Rub Machine to cut and finish furniture pieces Assists with packing furniture for shipping Must be able shift between different jobs throughout the day Maintains a well-organized and clean work area Must follow all safety policies and procedures All other duties as assigned QualificationsPosition Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred Previous rubbing and packing experience required Physical Requirements: Continuous standing throughout 9 hour shift Intermittent sitting, walking bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling and twisting throughout shift Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs. Must be able to utilize and manipulate tools - grasping, pushing/pulling, and utilizing foot/hand controls on machinery
