Job DetailsJob Location: Belcamp, MD 21001Position Type: Part TimeSalary Range: $20.50 - $25.80 HourlyJob Shift: M-F DaysPosition Summary: Under the supervision of the Transportation and Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician II’s primary responsibilities include ensuring completion of routine, preventative and seasonal maintenance, addressing situations that require basic plumbing, electrical and general building skills, including but not limited to, painting, dry walling, and general carpentry. Situations will require troubleshooting for possible solutions and being fiscally responsible with budget. Position Duties & Responsibilities: In a manner consistent with supporting The Arc NCR Mission Statement the Maintenance Technician II shall do the following: Quality Support Ensure seasonal maintenance of assigned sites. Keeping par levels of supplies in maintenance. Maintaining the repair needs and updates of the houses and main building. Internal office requests (hanging bulletin boards, moving office supplies, changing light bulbs. Arc Houses – Maintenance request such as wall repair, investigate plumbing, and electrical issues. Ensure routine maintenance of assigned sites. This will include; filter changes, inspections, preventative maintenance check-ups, gutter cleaning, power washing etc. Develop and implement plan for interior and exterior paint for assigned sites. Respond to maintenance requests with the ability to prioritize importance. Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation, Training and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required Three-Five (3-5) years of experience in basic plumbing, basic electrical, drywall installation and finishing, and interior and exterior painting One-Two (1-2) years of experience in general landscaping Some computer skills needed to complete maintenance PO’s and paperwork Excellent time management skills Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be expected to operate successfully certain maintenance equipment but not limited to: ladders, power saws, drills, and other basic equipment and hand tools. An employee in this position must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, demonstrate approved physical intervention techniques (BPS training methods) and demonstrate CPR. An employee in this position will be required to have significant mobility including walking, standing, pushing, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and driving. They will also have to frequently ascending and descending stairs and ladders to service general home and office maintenance. They will be subject to inside and outside environmental conditions. Other Requirements Access to reliable transportation Active valid driver’s license and driving record that has no more than two (2) points. Maintenance of all required trainings under DDA guidelines and The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region policies and procedures Flexibility of scheduling to meet agency and program needs
