Fryecare Lung Center is a department of Frye Regional Medical Center. The Lung clinic is located across the street from the hospital. Currently at clinic we have 5 Doctors and 1 Nurse Practitioner. At FryeCare Lung Center, our providers and staff specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute diseases of the lungs and respiratory tract.

We treat each patient as an individual and are dedicated to combining clinical expertise, a focus on wellness and a personalized touch in order to provide each patient with the best possible care plan. We are dedicated to delivering health care to our patients and have extensive training in sleep disorders and minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat lung disease.

Position Summary聽

Examine patients with breathing-related conditions and conducts diagnostic testing. Consults with physicians to develop and implement a treatment plan for the patient. Performs physiotherapy and other treatments and teaches patients to use medications.

Essential Functions:

  • Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer.聽

  • Delivers and assesses response to ordered therapy per care plan.聽

  • Monitors, records, and communication patient condition as appropriate.聽

  • Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices. Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.

  • Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.聽

  • Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.聽

  • Monitors, receives stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.聽

  • Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.聽

  • Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and perform preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

Education/ Certification

  • Associate Degree in Science required聽

  • Current unencumbered clinical license according to the state of practice guidelines.

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care.

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
