POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Receiver/Shunter at the Hickson, Ontario processing plant. The successful candidate will be required to work an Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday from 3pm – 11pm plus overtime as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct pre-inspections of equipment prior to use
  • Move and dump trailers into production process areas
  • Monitor dispatch sheets to prioritize dumping of trailers
  • Maintain housekeeping of working areas
  • Accurately fill out any required production or quality paperwork
  • Operate backhoe and forklifts
  • Follow all workplace health & safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Class G drivers' license
  • Previous heavy equipment experience is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have the ability to lift, push and pull between 50+ pounds
  • Bending, twisting, pushing/pulling, leaning, climbing, extended hours of walking and/or standing
