Automotive Parts Counterperson Responsibilities

As a Parts Counterperson, you play a key role in dealership operations and customer satisfaction:

• Assist customers and technicians with automotive parts sales and inquiries
• Accurately identify and specify parts and accessories
• Process parts orders, returns, warranties, and core charges
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions
• Answer phones promptly and assist customers professionally
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery
• Cross-sell parts, accessories, and product lines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts department
• Support inventory management and stocking
• Work closely with service and sales departments

✅ Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts experience or dealership experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of automotive systems and parts lookup processes
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable using dealership software (CDK or similar a plus)
• Reliable team player with a professional attitude
