QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
Experience and Training
- A minimum of two years of related experience, an equivalent combination of education and experience, or five years of work experience in a directly related capacity.

- Knowledge of the event planning process and available resources

- Ability to engage professionally with adult learners and graduate-level prospective students
- Ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and ability to learn and work in CRM on a daily basis

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists with planning and executing all admissions events
- Participates in planning meetings and special assignments
- Handles multiple projects simultaneously, managing tasks in an environment with changing dynamics (time, location, number of guests, etc.)
- Be “day of” event contact as needed
- Assists with creation of event improvements and new ideas
- Event publications: creating event schedules and event promotion materials
- Event signage: responsible for keeping inventory of event signs, creating and ordering new signs as needed, evaluating signage at events to see what can facilitate visitors
- Administrative duties including invoicing, billing, ordering supplies, executing vendor contracts and creating event setup diagrams
- Ordering event gift items; ensure enough gifts to cover events and the best products available
- Effectively communicates and interacts with individuals in multiple University offices to plan and coordinate events
- Maintains positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with faculty, staff, administrators, student workers, co-workers and managers
- Assist in planning and executing graduate admissions events and interview days, working in collaboration with program directors and faculty to support graduate recruitment experiences.

ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Responsible to ensure adherence to and fiscal responsibility for the allocated budget in the planning and execution of events
- Responsible for room reservations for events, must ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner, assist in managing the day of event experience
- Along with the Director of Admissions Guest Experience, the Admissions Events Coordinator is accountable for the overall success of admissions events to support the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in meeting annual enrollment goals
