To assist the Manager of Information and Applications, to wit: member selection, scheduling, performance reviewing, professional development of staff who are responsible for providing access to restricted and unrestricted locations across all University properties. They are also responsible for processing emergency, non-emergency and administrative calls for students, staff, faculty, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience and Training:
• 21 years of age with High School Diploma or GED
• No misdemeanor convictions within the past 10 years, no felony convictions
• Experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
• MS Office Suite
• DataTel and C-Cure 9000 preferred
• Milestone VMS preferred
• Mass Comm and RF preferred
• Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work hours: this position will be assigned to business hours, with rotations as needed .
• To assist the Manager of Information and Applications with assigning, reviewing and participating in the work of Building Access Technicians who receive and process requests for access.
• To assist the Manager of Information and Applications in the direction and control of personnel under his/her supervision to ensure the proper performance of duties and adherence of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. This includes assisting in making shift work assignments resulting in the published weekly work schedule. Also, maintenance of overtime assignments, Workday payroll approvals, vacation and holiday submissions, and submission of timesheets and overtime verifications.
• To perform the duties and responsibilities of the Manager of Information and Applications during their absence.
• Review information entered the computer system.
• Conduct frequent training/cross training to ensure skills remain in both areas.
• Conduct quality assurance feedback and coaching sessions with assigned employees at regular intervals. Perform duties of Field Training Officer (FTO) as needed.
• Communicate with management, the public, subordinates, peers, supervisors; interpret, explain and answer operational and procedural questions, handle complaints from the university community,
employees and external customers; complete notifications to appropriate agency or person(s) as needed. • Operate and monitor communications systems: Assess employees’ compliance with procedure, assist in development of employees at regular intervals; provide both verbal and written feedback involving the discipline process. Initiates commendations where appropriate.
• Review statistical data which outlines center and employee performance; adjust schedules (break/lunch) as necessary to achieve performance goals; to fill-in shifts when needed to meet minimum staffing coverage.
• Prepare and complete analytical and statistical reports and memos as required.
• Remain current on job specific procedures though attending training courses is order to apply appropriate methodologies.
• Assist manager of professional development with planning and execution of on-going training for technicians.
• Supervise quality assurance testing of various security systems, and communications equipment.
• Ensure work quality in accordance with Building Access and C-Com missions and standards to ensure adherence to established goals, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and implement all in-house training activities for Building Access; and perform the more technical and complex tasks related to assigned areas of responsibility.
• Work directly with the technology manager to execute quality assurance testing of the access systems, and communications equipment.
• Perform dispatcher duties.
• Perform duties as assigned by Chief of Police.
