Location: High Point University Campus (HPU)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5am - 1:30pm
Pay Rate: $14.50 per hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Floor Technician to join our custodial team at High Point University. The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors across campus facilities through routine and specialized floor care procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while upholding safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform floor maintenance duties, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and burnishing various types of floors.

• Operate a variety of floor care equipment (auto scrubbers, buffers, extractors, etc.) in a safe and efficient manner.

• Maintain cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment in good working condition.

• Ensure all assigned areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards.

• Follow established safety guidelines and report any hazards or maintenance needs.

• Perform other custodial or related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in floor care, custodial, or janitorial services.

• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repetitively and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
