Education:

Master's degree in social work or counseling

Valid NC state license as a LCSW, LPC or LMFT at the independent provider level.

Experience:

3 years post鈥恖icensure clinical experience in behavioral health, individual, couple, family, mental health, and domestic/workplace violence counseling services, psychopathology, and psychosocial dynamics

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide licensed psychotherapist services to eligible clients with behavioral health disorders including psychological assessment, evaluation, telephonic and in-person crisis intervention, evidence-based treatments for trauma and clinical case management in an outpatient setting embedded within NCNG armories, and Reserve Component Family Assistance Centers.
  • Provide clinical services such as assessment, triage, evaluation, diagnoses, treatment planning, and evidence-based treatments (EBT) for trauma i.e. Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Accelerated Resolution Therapy to eligible clients.
  • Draft and provide analysis to identify behavioral health trends. Reports include: bio-psychosocial evaluations, case formulations, treatment plans, progress notes, etc. on a quarterly basis, submitted to the COR.
  • Provide Psycho-Education Briefings to include Yellow Ribbon events, Unit Briefings, Military Funeral Honors, and Orientations.
  • Provide Critical Incident Debriefings, generally on a quarterly basis.
  • Provide consultation services to Command upon request that include making appropriate recommendations for treatment, referral, and resources available.
  • Provide liaison services with outside support services.
  • Visit armories on a monthly basis to communicate range of available IMHS services.
  • Refer eligible members to mental health providers and provide follow- up services
  • Provide proper transition for eligible clients to ensure continued care as appropriate.
  • Mentor new IMHS contract employees IAW IMHS SOP; historical load provided per staff: 1:1.

Must Haves:

  • Knowledge of federal and state legal requirements pertaining to mental health counseling and patient confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and Privacy Acts in civilian and military settings as well as the professional ethics surrounding the mental health career field.
  • Strong organizational & communication skills, both written and verbal
  • One year experience working with a Computerized Medical database system preferred.
  • One year experience working on a virtual team preferred.
  • Current certification or licensure in evidence based treatment for psychological trauma.
