Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required; Candidates should preferably be ABD PhD students in anthropology, anatomy, biology, or a related field with a research focus on some aspect of human and/or primate evolutionary anatomy or morphology.
- Candidates must have completed a graduate-level cadaveric gross anatomy course, earning a high grade, and must be available for the duration of the contract.
- The PT semester is usually a week or two longer than the PA semester so candidates should indicate their summer availability.
Experience and Training:
Previously taken cadaveric gross anatomy and performed well
Previous experience teaching at the college level
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Knowledge of Human Anatomy
Dissection Skills
Communication skills
Responsibilities:
Graduate Teaching Fellows will be responsible for assisting with instruction of graduate students in human cadaveric dissections, preparing and dissecting human cadaveric specimens, and aiding in the composition of written and practical exams.
Three of the Graduate Teaching Fellows will form the teaching team for the Physician Assistant Gross Anatomy course led by course director, Dr. James D. Pampush. The PA Gross Anatomy course runs from the last week of May to the second week of August. Two of the Graduate Teaching Fellows will be part of the Physical Therapy Human Anatomy teaching team, led by course director Dr. Susan Lad. This course spans the last week of May through mid-August.
