Warehouse Cashier & Customer Sales Associate

Job Summary

The Cashier & Customer Sales Associate is a customer-focused role responsible for handling transactions and delivering excellent sales and service. This position combines front-end cashier duties with customer assistance and product sales, ensuring a smooth and positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier & Transactions

• Process customer purchases (cash, credit/debit, digital payments) accurately
• Handle returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies
• Using the POS system to handle transactions
• Open and close registers as required

Customer Sales & Service

• Greet customers and provide a high level of customer service
• Assist customers with product selection and recommendations
• Upsell and promote products when appropriate
• Answer questions regarding pricing, availability, and product use
• Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships

Store Support

• Restock shelves and ensure products are organized and accessible
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to check product availability
• Assist with light product handling or order preparation when needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Tobacco experience
• Previous cashier or retail sales experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
