The Role
 

G&H Cleveland is looking for an experienced Engineering Technician who will be focused on support drawings work, technical documentation, testing and evaluation for new processes and components within a high precision optics environment. In this role, the selected candidate will closely partner with Assembly and R&D.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Produce or modify support drawings, schematics, technical and quality documentation
  • Testing and evaluation of new procedures/components
  • Aid in the design and manufacture of high precision optical assemblies
  • Serve as engineering liaison to assembly personnel
  • Facilitate the transition of new products from R&D to production

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in AutoCad and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in reading and interpretation of mechanical drawings and schematics 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent manual dexterity
  • Excellent visual acuity with or without corrective lenses

Education and/or Experience:

  • B.S. or Associate's in Industrial, Mechanical or Electronics Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience preferred
  • Computer skills
  • Technical writing
  • Operation of laboratory equipment

Work Environment:


Some work in clean room environment
