You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position working 6:45a-5:00p with rotation to 845a-7:00p once a week at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortland Manor, New York. There is an on-call requirement for weeknights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Criteria 

• Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED.

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting.  

• New Graduates: Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire.

• Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care.
