Position Summary 

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Director of Site Civil Engineering to lead and grow our civil engineering teams in Woodbury (Nassau County) and Yonkers, while also having the option to work from our New York City office. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of experience in site civil and transportation infrastructure, with a strong background in New York public agencies. This role blends high-level leadership, mentorship, and business development, helping to drive project excellence across the region.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage site civil engineering teams in Woodbury (Nassau County) and support Yonkers offices.
  • Provide senior-level guidance to engineers on public and private sector projects, with emphasis on transportation and infrastructure.
  • Work primarily out of our NYC office, with regular travel to Woodbury (Nassau County) and Yonkers required for team collaboration and oversight.
  • Support the professional growth of junior engineers and technical staff through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Drive business development efforts with New York agencies such as NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCDDC, PANY/NJ, and surrounding counties.
  • Strengthen client relationships and secure new opportunities through proposal writing and strategic outreach.
  • Oversee planning, design, and delivery of projects that meet regulatory and client standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and market growth.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the division.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New York State.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in site civil and transportation engineering.
  • Strong familiarity with New York market trends, agencies, and permitting.
  • Proven track record in business development, proposal creation, and client engagement.
  • Outstanding leadership and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Woodbury (Nassau County) and Yonkers for team support and oversight. 
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and team-building abilities.
