Job Description

Position Highlights:

Sign on Bonus: $25,000: To be eligible for the sign on bonus, must have 18 months of LDRP experience.

  • Position: Registered Nurse –Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum

  • Location: Highland Park, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full time, 36 hours per week

  • Hours: 1900--0730, with weekend rotation

  • On Call: per unit requirements 12 hours per 6 week schedule

  • Required Travel: Float to Post-Partum Evanston Hospital

What you will do:

  • Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the LDRP

  • Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care

  • Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care

  • Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care

  • Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience 

What you will need:

  • Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred

  • Certification: BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required ( American Heart Association)

  • License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required

  • Experience: 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year labor and delivery/post-partum experience preferred

  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Labor and Delivery/post-partum experience
