RN Pre-Admission Testing (PAT)

Surgery Center of Highlands Ranch | Highlands Ranch, CO

The Surgery Center of Highlands Ranch is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) to join our growing perioperative team. This role is responsible for conducting preoperative patient assessments, reviewing medical histories and diagnostic testing, coordinating surgical clearances, and ensuring patients are safely prepared for surgery.

 

Ideal Candidate: An experienced RN who enjoys patient assessment, surgical readiness screening, interdisciplinary collaboration, and delivering exceptional perioperative care.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments and patient interviews.
  • Review medical records, labs, EKGs, and diagnostic results for surgical readiness.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and referring physicians regarding patient clearance needs.
  • Educate patients on surgery preparation, medication management, and postoperative expectations.
  • Identify potential clinical risks and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative process.
  • Document assessments accurately and communicate findings to the care team.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Colorado.
  • Previous Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) experience strongly preferred.
  • ICU, Critical Care, PreOp, PACU, or perioperative nursing experience highly preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, care coordination, and patient education skills.
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred.

 

 

USD $30.00/Hr. USD $50.82/Yr.
