Job DetailsJob Location: Middletown, PA 17057Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: NightJob Category: ManufacturingMACHINE OPERATOR Production Department – Middletown, PA Shifts Monday-Friday Second Shift: 2:00pm until completion Job Summary Consistent Schedule – Average a 40-50 hour workweek each week, Monday through Friday Consistent Overtime Pay – overtime after 40 hours each week Starting wage of $22.46 / hour ; increased to $23.06 after 60 days of positive performance -- $34.59/hour per OT Hour 100% Company-Paid healthcare and life insurance for the employee 401K with company match Job Responsibilities Join our Operator Development Program – a built in training and development program focused on upskilling and advancement Perform various duties including, but not limited to; safe operation of production and packaging machinery, proper handling and mixing of ingredients, and moving and/or stacking materials and equipment Perform at reasonable speeds, taking full advantage of the equipment available Observe all safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and good housekeeping practices Act with quality, safety, and teamwork in mind at all times Maintains an understanding of the flow of work on the production floor, from staging to production to storage Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by Supervisors or Plant Management Job Requirements Job Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age, with a High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to work and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes Experience or training in manufacturing/food manufacturing or supply-chain environment is preferred Must be able to work pre-scheduled Day or Night shifts; schedules created with plenty of notice and are mostly day shift Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions with high level of detail Physical requirements: ability to work 8+ hour shifts, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods of time, perform repetitive motions, and work in an environment with varying temperatures ***** Hershey’s Ice Cream Enjoyed by millions since 1894, Hershey’s Ice Cream is focused on producing innovative, high quality products and providing industry leading service.
