Description

This part-time position will be working 32 hours/week on weekdays, day shift.

The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Assists with training and supervising assigned aides. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years Providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
