Description

Job Summary:

The event center coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance and event coordination of the Hillsboro Health Event Center. This position manages facility rentals, provides excellent customer service to clients and ensures the building remains clean, organized and in good condition. The coordinator is also responsible for staffing events, managing bar operations and proactively identifying maintenance needs. This role requires flexibility, as hours will vary based on scheduled events, including evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all facility rental reservations, including scheduling, contracts, and communication with clients 
  • Provide tours of the facility and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner 
  • Serve as the primary contact for renters before, during, and after events 
  • Oversee daily operations of the Event Center to ensure a high-quality experience for all guests 
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility 
  • Perform routine cleaning and ensure all areas are tidy and event-ready 
  • Monitor the facility for maintenance needs and identify potential issues before they become problems 
  • Coordinate and report repairs as needed 
  • Organize and maintain storage areas, supplies, and event materials 
  • Hire, schedule, and oversee temporary staff for events as needed 
  • Coordinate and schedule bartenders for events 
  • Manage bar inventory and ensure adequate stock levels 
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations 
  • Assist with event setup, event logistics and event teardown as needed 
  • Work a flexible schedule based on event bookings, including evenings and weekends 
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Complies with HIPAA regulations and maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Follows and maintains all lawful safety, health requirements and regulations, and follow protocols for required protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promptly reports safety issues, job-related injury or illness, near misses, etc. in SafetyZone.
  • Follows Hillsboro Health Standards of Behavior.


Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in event coordination, hospitality, facility management, or a related field preferred 
  • Experience managing schedules, vendors, or event logistics is a plus 

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Must have BASSET certification or be willing to obtain upon hire
