SUMMARY:Â
Qorvo is looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician in Thin Films that will fit well into the company culture. We are seeking a candidate who is intelligent and flexible – someone who can change priorities at a moment’s notice and someone who is enthusiastic about learning and growing as a technician in the semiconductor industry.Â

This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week shift – night shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.). This is a factory position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment. You may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to hazardous processing materials.Â

RESPONSIBILITIES:Â

Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipmentÂ

Work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasksÂ
-
Work closely with peers, supervisor, and engineering team to deeply understand root cause of failure and use those learnings to continuously improve equipment availability to meet production goalsÂ
-
Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives, and may be required to attend classes, seminars, vendor training if requiredÂ

Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activitiesÂ

Document all work performed on equipmentÂ

QUALIFICATIONS:Â

Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience is requiredÂ
-
A minimum of 2 years’ hands on technical maintenance experience in high volume semiconductor environmentÂ
-
The ideal candidate will have direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environmentÂ
-
Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocolsÂ
-
Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methodsÂ
-
Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills requiredÂ
-
Candidate must have solid workplace soft skillsÂ
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in EnglishÂ

Candidate must be comfortable navigating and operating computersÂ

Basic familiarity of MS Office programs is a plusÂ

Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilitiesÂ

Hands-on participation and strong sense of ownershipÂ

Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environmentÂ

Must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 35 poundsÂ

Must be physically capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires occasionally bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting, etc.Â

Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materialsÂ

Ability to work well both independently and in a team environmentÂ
