We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Principal SAP Developer to join our Enterprise Business Systems team. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in SAP technical skills, along with a strong track record of leading global and offshore teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions and driving operational excellence through KPI- and SLA-based support models.

 

Success in this role also demands proficiency in running scrums, establishing, and governing standard work practices, and thriving in fast-paced, dynamic environments. The candidate should be comfortable collaborating across time zones and geographies and working with cross-functional teams around the globe including US.

 

This is an onsite position where the expectation is to be onsite five days a week in our Hillsboro OR office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop RICEFW objects using ABAP in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA.
  • Build and maintain integration flows (Iflows) in SAP PO and CPI.
  • Deploy code across development, QA, and production environments using central repositories for BODS.
  • Troubleshoot and debug ABAP code, Iflows, ETL logic, and SQL queries.
  • Maintain and enhance data flows between SAP and non-SAP systems using ECC, BODS, CPI, and PO.
  • Participate in project phases as a technical SAP expert.
  • Develop ETL logic using Data Integrator features (Audit Rules, Transforms, Debugger, etc.).
  • Create and manage load programs using ABAP and SAP tools (LSMW, LTMC, Migration Cockpit, ALE).

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 12+ years of hands-on experience in ABAP and RICEFW development.
  • Skilled in ABAP reporting (Classical, ALV Interactive, OOP) and enhancement techniques (User/Customer Exit, BADI, BTE).
  • Strong expertise in SAP PO/CPI configuration and integration (scenarios, channels, mappings, adapters).
  • Experience with SAP PO adapters (AS2, File, JDBC, SOAP, REST, RFC, IDOC_AAE) and CPI connectors.
  • Proficient in interface development using RFC, ABAP Proxy, ALE/IDOCs, EDI, BAPIs, Web Dynpro, Web Services, and OData.
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting CPI Iflows, message monitors, channels, and IDOCs.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of ETL lifecycle design and implementation using automated tools and utilities.
  • Familiarity with extractors connecting SAP, non-SAP, and SaaS systems via BODS.
  • Solid understanding of SAP modules: SD, MM, PP, QM, FI, CO
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
