Commercial Sales Consultant - Commercial Painting

The Commercial Sales Consultant is responsible for driving new commercial business through proactive outreach, relationship development, and professional estimating. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships, and supporting the successful execution of commercial painting projects.Â

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Business DevelopmentÂ
- Proactively identify and pursue new commercial opportunities through cold outreach, networking, and relationship buildingÂ
- Develop relationships with property managers, facility managers, business owners, and other commercial decision makersÂ
- Participate in industry events and trade showsÂ
- Attend networking events, association meetings, and occasional after-hours customer eventsÂ

Sales and Relationship ManagementÂ
- Build trust-based relationships that lead to repeat business and referralsÂ
- Present CertaPro Painters professionally and differentiate us through clarity, reliability, and follow-throughÂ
- Win work in a competitive market by being responsive, prepared, and credibleÂ
Estimating and ProposalsÂ
- Conduct site visits to assess scope and gather project requirementsÂ
- Prepare detailed, accurate written proposals that clearly define scope, expectations, and pricingÂ
- Learn and apply commercial paint systems and products through training and experienceÂ
- Utilize Excel and internal CertaPro systems to support accurate estimatingÂ
- Manage and approve change ordersÂ
Production CoordinationÂ
- Communicate project scope and customer expectations to the Operations teamÂ
- Stay engaged during active projects to drive customer satisfactionÂ
- Assist in resolving customer concerns promptly and professionallyÂ
AdministrativeÂ
- Maintain accurate job and proposal records in CertaOneÂ
- Prepare regular performance and activity updates for review with the OwnerÂ
What We’re Looking ForÂ
- B2B sales experience strongly preferredÂ
- Relationship-driven mindsetÂ
- Excited by prospecting and developing new relationshipsÂ
- Strong work ethic and willingness to hustleÂ
- Exposure to construction, painting, or trades is a plusÂ
- Experience with estimating or quoting is a plusÂ
- Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- High attention to detail and comfort with estimating Â
- Comfortable using Excel, technology, and business systemsÂ
- Coachable, curious, and eager to learn the technical aspects of commercial paintingÂ
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locallyÂ
