Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Gastroenterologist (MD or DO) who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality digestive health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and liver biopsies, to evaluate and manage gastrointestinal conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients’ medical history, needs, and preferences.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Accurately and promptly document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Gastroenterology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the State of Hawaii (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a practicing gastroenterologist following completion of an accredited gastroenterology fellowship program.
