Job DetailsJob Location: Kama'aina Nissan - HILO, HI 96720Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $16.66 - $17.99 HourlySUMMARY: A Product Specialist is an entry level position for our dealerships to gain the skills and knowledge to have a successful sales career. Product Specialists will be well informed about our vehicles, culture, and process to ensure and deliver an excellent customer experience, while working in a cohesive environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Greets all customers in a timely, professional, and pleasant manner that arrive on the dealership lot no matter what department they are here for. Works service lane during morning shift to assist with checking customers in and building customer relationships. Performs hand-off to the sales rep and assist with the sales process. Ensures inventory is always in peak presentation and that inventory is rotated weekly. Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction. Ensures product knowledge is continuously updated and effectively utilized. Walks the lot reviewing inventory every day first thing in the morning, when not actively working on the service lane. Walks the dealership to make sure all areas are clean and presentable. GOLD look. Keeps the work area clean and ensure that no customer information is exposed to maintain compliance with various FTC requirements. Checks in with the Sales Manager for an outstanding item that may need to be addressed. Learns and effectively utilizes the steps of the sales process. Be attentive on the phone and at the dealership for any potential customers. Shadows and assists salespeople with any deals. Cleans and organize the showroom before closing for the day. Learns to effectively utilize CRM platform and associated tools. Ensures all factory training is completed in a timely manner. Ensures auto academy training is completed in a timely manner. Understands and effectively implements Concepts Phone Training to make and receive calls and secure appointments. Walks the lot at day's end, double check to ensure all vehicles are locked and there are no empty spots in the vehicle line-up. Pick up any rubbish. Locks and secures both front and rear entrance. Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively. Understands, implements, and adheres to Company Safeguards Policies. Complete and remains current with all mandatory factory/manufacturing, safety compliance, Safeguard requirements, and cybersecurity training. Maintains a professional business appearance. ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Assists the detail department with any backlog of inventory and vehicles that are being delivered. Assists with transferring vehicles to other locations as needed. Assists the Internet Marketing Manager and Management team with Sales Events. Performs other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager or COO. Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.  REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Manufacturer Training Must have and maintain a current valid Driver's License with a clean Driver’s Abstract. MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to work with multiple projects, tasks and deadlines. Continuous alertness and attention to detail, concentration and ability to perform mathematical calculations to produce accurate work Ability to work and effectively communicate with leadership and Store Personnel on time-sensitive matters.
