JOB SUMMARY
This Part Time Golf Assistant position is responsible for ensuring that customers have outstanding  golfing experiences while visiting Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort. By  engaging with guests, providing proactive service and anticipating  golfer needs, you will help the resort carry out our noble purpose where  âwe care about our guests and the impact we make on their livesâ.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide superior service by welcoming all guests and assisting with golf bags.
- Serve as a primary information source to ensure a positive experience.
- Actively cross-promote company amenities and services at every opportunity.
- Maintain a pleasant, positive attitude and adhere to the established dress code at all times.
- Manage the prompt opening and closing of the facility.
- Oversee  day-to-day operations including player registration, booking tee times,  and maintaining accurate guest info on tee sheets.
- Monitor pace  of play, coordinate with rangers, and assist with logistics for golf  groups and tournaments across company properties.
- Complete daily operational reports.
- Assist with golf shop retail operations, including receiving products, pricing, restocking, and conducting regular inventories.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised retail area and counter displays.
- Clean and stock golf carts (scorecards, ice, sand, etc.) before and after rounds; ensure proper charging and storage.
- Communicate any maintenance needs to cart mechanic.
- Manage range ball distribution, cleaning, and general maintenance of the driving range.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bag drop, cart barn, staging area, and parking lot.
Requirements
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
- Golf Experience - 6 months or more, preferredÂ
- Candidates must be able to perform arduous manual labor of varying degrees in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to learn and operate point-of-sale (POS) and tee-sheet management software
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
SENSORY/PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods and walk over uneven terrain.
- Must be able to lift and transport golf bags and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, humidity, etc.).
