Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Overview

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers – Hilton Head is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in Hilton Head Island, SC.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated PTA who enjoys working in outpatient orthopedics, vestibular rehabilitation, balance therapy, and functional recovery. You will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist

• Provide therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, and manual therapy techniques (as permitted by state practice act)

• Treat orthopedic, vestibular, and balance conditions

• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising PT

• Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation

• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and state regulations

• Support clinic flow and patient experience

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Active South Carolina PTA license (or eligibility)

• Outpatient experience preferred

• Interest in orthopedic and vestibular rehabilitation

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Team-oriented with a positive, patient-focused mindset
